Got my first pay today...felt real good..
100 bucks earnd on my own. No qualifications , no cv'z .
just me and my buddy..on a cash positive day. and it was fun.... sheer sheer fun!!
The first time i stepped out of the college campus during the SIMS orientation xcpt for d morning jogz... anybody who has been thru the same knows what m taking about..
Aftr the early morning routine of the colg, we dressed up in formals (sareez for girls to be exact ) , were givn sum simpl rules:
no cash to be used
no details of d collge to be given,
and to reach a certain area of pune
to get employed for d day,,
and to earn at d least a 100 buckz...
Took 2 lifts 2 reach d givn place, dat was d easy part... (being a girl helps!!)
nd den d fun began..searching for a shop who would hire us for a day..nd pay us as well!
d first shop refusd straight away..d secnd listnd to my budddy and me for 5 minutes and den said no.
the third made us wait for 15 minuts and said no..den sum more rejctions..den anothr one,he made us call up four of his bosses and d final one banged d phone on us!
and it went on..it was 10:40 AM and dn it happend..
we reachd a cool hangout..vishi'z food and coffee shop.
a nice place for a quick bite..d owner gav us d job..
after more than two decades of unemployment..i was finally employed..
and in d given time to be emlpoyed...
it was not dat dey just gav it to us...we told dem we were ready to do ne thing needful..pack up stuff, clean utencils, d tables , attend d customers ..just bout nething!!!!!
dey told us that dey hav already refused sum of our classmates..bt we finally made dem hire us..
And as dey say...we were on d job!
nd it began wid d lady giving it us two cupz of coffee..
it meant soo much to a coffee addict like me who had been deprivd of coffee ever since i joind d orientatn program..it was not dat all coffee had vanishd, just dat d time to buy urslf sum coffee had...
just d best way to begin ur new job...4 me,,just d best way 2 begin just bout nething!
we workd on d coffee machine, d ice tea machine...packd cakes and pastries...servd custmrs..
d best part was an old couple who stopd by...dey were soo gud 2 us dat dey were smiled evn aftr crossin d rode..
d little kids dat cam 2 d shop..md d look at dere facez aftr seein d yummy cakes and pasteries was just amazing...
And takin about custmr satisfaction...we did it..
sum of our batchmates cam 2 d shop 2 eat three times durin d day...
d first taste of managmt, d first experience out of my comfort zone or simply d first salary dat i earnd...i may call it nething bt it was an unforgetable expaerience for sure..
and its not over yet..
aftr posting this blog , i still hav 2 find a lift r walk back 2 college...
not a single penny to be used...
rules are rules!!!!!
